A small glance at Nigerian passport:

Nigerian International Passport gives you the opportunity to experience international travel and explore different cultures, which allows you to travel anywhere in the world (if you have the right visa).

An international passport is different from an ECOWAS passport. ECOWAS Passport only provides travel entry to 15 West African countries. So as a Nigerian, you will need a Nigerian international passport if you are traveling outside the identified West African countries.

If you are to apply for a new Nigeria passport, kindly note that the Nigerian Immigration Services (NIS) does not offer electronic passports for new applications currently. Ordinary citizens can apply for a standard e-passport (green card), while the official e-passport (blue card) is reserved for government officials and Nigerian ambassadors.

Who needs a Nigeria International passport?

There are more categories of individuals who need this passport. For example, Nigerians who want to travel outside of Nigeria for other activities such as business, leisure, or school purposes need a Nigerian international passport.

A 32-page Nigerian international passport is usually issued to travelers or non-international travelers. On the other hand, business travelers may want to consider applying for a 64-page passport, as your job requires frequent international business trips throughout the year.

If you are a regular traveler, you may also want a 64-page passport. This will save you from the hassle of constantly having to apply for new passports and carrying bulky documents.
