The Mexico tourist card online is a Multiple Electronic Air Migration Form called FMM (Forma Migratoria Multiple). The Mexican National Migration Institute issues this card to all foreign nationalities entering Mexico who will not be engaged in any type of remunerated work to accelerate the registration process. Before traveling to Mexico, all travelers can apply for their tourist cards online. The traveler must submit the tourist card and get the stamp from an immigration officer at the entry point. Visitors should keep their tourist cards in a safe location, as they will need to hand them over when they leave Mexico. Please note that at any point, Mexico tourist cards will not replace any Mexico tourist visa.

You can get a Mexico tourist card online up to 7 days before you plan on traveling.

The Mexico tourist card online will always expire after 180 days. It is not possible to be extended beyond the number of days written on the document by the immigration official (even if it is less than the 180 days allowance), and it also cannot be renewed. Travelers must leave the country before it expires.

Usually, an immigration officer will mark the stay period on your card during the entry procedure. A traveler with a Mexico tourist card online can get a maximum stay period of 180 days. If you are entering Mexico via cruise ship, you will get a maximum of 21 days to stay.
