Who are eligible for a UK Visa application in Nigeria?

If you are a Nigerian national and you want to go to the United Kingdom, you must apply for a visa.

To qualify for a United Kingdom visa, you must meet the following needs:

  • You must leave the United Kingdom at the end of your visit.
  • You can support your-self and any dependents for the travel duration.
  • You can pay for your visit or next trip and any other expenses related to your visit.
  • You must have evidence of any business or other activity you wish to do in the UK.

What are the types of UK Visa?

There are different types of UK visas. You need to apply to the right person depending on why you want to go to the UK:

Standard Visitor Visa: You are going to the UK on vacation or visiting your family and friends for business or private medical treatment.

Marriage Visitor Visa: If you are planning to get married.

Permitted Paid Engagement UK Visa: If you want to do specific paid work.

Parent of a Tier Four Child Visa: If your children attend an independent fee-paying day school.

3 Tax Get a Photo-copy of your tax ready (if available) for your application.
4 Pay slip You need to request a 4 (Four) month pay slip from your employer.
5 Leave Approval Beginning, you need to get leave approval from the job to show employment proof.
6 CAC If you are self employed, your business registration document (CAC) is required for a United Kingdom visa application. So, you will skip the five above.
7 Introduction Letter A letter from your company is mandatory. Ask them to enter your details such as your passport, your share in the company, your annual salary, and the purpose of your visit. It should be sent to the British Embassy.
8 Invitation Letter Request a letter of invitation from your host if invited. Your host should include your details, their name, passport number, status in the UK, purpose of visit, relationship, and length of stay.
9 Utility Bills Host utility bills must be included in your application if he / she wants to accommodate you while you are staying in the UK.
10 Host Documents Host Job Details and Bank Reports If you wish to pay a portion of your expenses in the UK, request them.
11 Data Page or Permit Also, your host must send a photocopy of the data page or resident permit.
12 Accommodation Finally, you must provide proof of accommodation for the period of your stay. If your host wants to accommodate you, their utility bill is essential. For a tourist, hotel booking is mandatory.

How to Apply for UK Visa from Nigeria?

It is quite simple to complete the request. Please follow the below steps carefully:

  • Choose the departure and arrival country, select the required visa type, and click ‘CLICK TO START.’
  • Verify the visa fee and terms and conditions on the next page.
  • On the third page, enter your basic details in the respective field and upload the necessary documents (you can upload the documents at a later stage also).
  • After that, review and confirm the information of your form, then proceed with the payment. We support all types of cards for payment.
  • You will receive the invoice and a confirmation mail with a link in your registered email id.
  • Click the link and complete the remaining form (you can also upload the document at this stage) and submit it for processing.

What you need to bring to the United Kingdom Submission Center:

  • Your original international passport (if you do not wish to submit your passport, please keep my passport service).
  • Checklist Form.

  • Your supporting documents are listed above (if your documents have been uploaded online using the Self Service option, you do not need to bring them to the Submission Center. In this case, you are confirming the document submission).

Processing time is three weeks from submission. You should be notified via email / SMS when the collection is ready.
