Overview of Tourist E-visa Single Entry to Turkey?

The growing economy of Asia and affordability of Europe had laid the foundation for Turkey to attract millions of travelers. The widespread beauty of coastal areas, the long history proven by monuments and multi-culinary environment has made Turkey a popular destination, which resulted in 51.9 million visitors in 2019. The Republic of Turkey offers a tourist e-visa single entry to Turkey for foreign nationals who are seeking leisure travel in Turkey. The region now known as Turkey has changed hands many times throughout history. In ancient times it was part of empires such as the Anatolians, Assyrians, Thracians, and Phrygians. It was conquered by Alexander the Great to become part of the Greek empire, then continued into the Byzantine Era. Seljuk Turks entered the area in the 11th century, and in 1071 founded the nation now known as Turkey. In 1243 the land was invaded by the Mongols, and in the 13th century it became the center of the Ottoman Empire, which it would remain as until World War One. The Turkish War of Independence was fought in 1922 to establish the Republic of Turkey we know today.

Among the most beautiful and interesting places to visit in Turkey is the Hagia Sophia, a building that has changed hands between religions and governments numerous times so that it has been, at times, a Catholic Cathedral, a Muslim Mosque, and now a museum. For those interested in more ancient culture, sites like the Ephesus ruins, one of the oldest and most well-preserved Roman cities in the mediteranean, Mount Nemrut is an archaeology site in Eastern Turkey dates back to 190 BC, and Ani, an ancient city that at its height may have had a population approaching 100,000, but which is now in ruins. Turkey is also well known for its beautiful waters and beach vacations, notably on the southern coast, referred to as the Turkish Riviera. Antalya, called the tourism capital of Turkey, is the nation’s largest sea resort. It’s estimated that 12.5 million tourists come to this area every year. Also not to be missed is the Turkish cuisine, featuring many recognizable staples such as the kebab, pickles, turkish ravioli, white bean stews and vegetables with olive oil. Other delicacies are piyaz (tahini, garlic, walnuts, and boiled beans), şiş köfte (a meatball which is cooked around a stick) spicy hibeş, tandır kebap, domates civesi, şakşuka, and various cold Mediterranean dishes. One local speciality is tirmis, boiled seeds of the lupin, eaten as a snack.
