Hong-Kong-Pre-Arrival-form

The Hong Kong Pre-Arrival Form is an online process designed specifically for Indian citizens. It allows Indian passport holders to visit Hong Kong without requiring a traditional visa. Once completed, it grants permission for short-term stays (up to 14 days) for purposes like tourism, business, or family visits. The registration is valid for multiple entries over a six-month period, making it an efficient option for frequent travelers.

The Pre-arrival Registration is exclusively available for Indian nationals. Other countries’ citizens are not eligible for this registration process and must apply for a visa as per the standard procedures.

At this time, there are no exemptions from the Hong Kong Pre-arrival Registration. Every Indian national planning to visit Hong Kong under the short-term stay category must complete the registration.

The Pre-arrival Registration process is completely free of charge for Indian nationals. You do not need to pay any application fees to register. The system is designed to simplify your entry without any added cost.

It’s recommended to submit your Pre-arrival Registration at least 1 to 2 weeks before your travel date. This gives you ample time to receive confirmation and resolve any potential issues before your departure.

Once approved, the Pre-arrival Registration for Hong Kong is valid for six months. During this period, you can visit Hong Kong multiple times, but each stay is capped at 14 days.

The maximum stay allowed with the Pre-arrival Registration is 14 days per visit. If you wish to stay longer or visit again within the same six-month period, you must apply for a new registration before each trip.

To ensure your registration is processed smoothly, make sure your passport meets the following conditions:

  • Validity: Your passport should be valid for at least 6 months from your planned arrival date in Hong Kong.
  • Condition: Ensure your passport is in good condition, free from any damage or alterations.
  • Blank Pages: Although not strictly required for registration, it’s advisable to have at least one blank page in your passport for immigration stamps.

Once your Pre-arrival Registration is approved, you should also have the following documents ready for travel:

  1. Passport: Ensure it is valid for at least 6 months beyond your arrival date.
  2. Return or Onward Ticket: Proof of your return or onward travel.
  3. Accommodation Details: Address where you will stay (hotel bookings or invitation from a host).
  4. Proof of Sufficient Funds: Bank statements or other financial documents to prove you can support your stay.
  5. Health-related Documents: If required, a vaccination certificate or other health-related documents.

Having all your documents in order will help ensure a smooth entry into Hong Kong without complications.
