When visiting Egypt, travelers require a visa to enter the nation, which applies to Indian nationals. There are two types of visas for Indian passport holders.

Business Visa: Any travelers visiting Egypt solely for business reasons must apply for this Egyptian visa.

The applicant must submit documentation such as booked air tickets, a cover letter from the organization/company that the traveler will be representing during the trip for business, and an invitation letter from the organization/company partners in Egypt that must be sent directly to the embassy or consulate.

Tourist Visa: This kind of Egypt visa is helpful to anyone visiting the nation for tourist and sightseeing reasons. While a tourist or sightseeing visa is valid for 90 days, one’s your travel can’t extend beyond 30 days.

This Egypt tourist visa application process doesn’t involve a personal interview for the applicant unless one has no history of travel or the immigration office insists on an interview. Some documentations needed for this Egypt tourist visa for Indian nationals include a valid original cover letter to the consular, booked air tickets, and gazette-attested past six (6) months bank statements.

Application process:

Depending on one’s citizenship, one can either apply for an Egyptian visa online or in person. Many nationals such as Albania, Canada, Australia, Ireland, Croatia, U.S.A. & U.K. can apply for an Egypt electronic Visa. However, since Indian nationals are not eligible for this, travelers will have to apply for an Egypt visa for Indian national’s in-person & not for an electronic Visa.

Egypt does not outsource its visa processes to some private agencies. Therefore, Indian travel document/passport holders do not have an Egypt electronic Visa or visa on arrival as an option unless one is travel in a vast group.

To apply for an Egyptian visa, Indian nationals must apply for their Egyptian visas offline. Depending on which state/province they reside in, the visa application must be submitted to the consulate or the embassy.

If the applicant cannot submit the documentation, an agent/relative with an authorization letter can go on their behalf & submit the visa application. One must check the working hours of the visa office before going to apply.

The processing time takes seven working days, and Indian travelers can gather the Egypt visas from the Egyptian embassy in Delhi or the Egyptian consulate in Mumbai during the limited time.

  • Personal travel document/passport (with six (6) months validity and two blank pages)

You won’t require one if your travel time is less than 48 hours. You may be able to leave the airport, but you’ll require handing over your travel document/passport. Many give short-period tours to their travelers with transit times between 6 hours & 48 hours.

Single entry enables travelers only to reach Egypt once, for a limited period of 90 days after the visa issuance.

Multiple entries give you two entries within a visa validity period of 90 days after issuance, with no more than 30 days per entry for each stay.
