What is an e-Visa from Singapore?

The Electronic Arrival Card was launched by the Singapore Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) in August 2019 to replace the conventional paper Disembarkation / Embarkation Card (DE Card). It is an electronic document of admission that allows passengers to complete up to 14 days in advance of their expected arrival date in Singapore and to avoid wasting time and paper at the airport. After filling in our application form, applicants will receive their tourist card via e-mail. The aim of this arrival card is to facilitate entry to Singapore, but it does not substitute for a visa. If you are not from a country with a visa exemption, your visa will be sought by Singapore immigration officers at the airport.

How long is the e-Visa for Singapore valid for?

Once published, Singapore e Visa is valid for 63 days. Bear in mind that the Singapore e Visa allows you to enter several entries, but you can only remain in Singapore for up to 15 days per entry.

Any person may be denied entry by the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) officer at the port of entry if they consider that an individual is unable to meet the immigration criteria or that the presence of that person in Singapore would be contrary to national interests or security.

  • The Singapore e Visa is valid for 63 days following issuance and allows a maximum stay of 30 days per entry for the holder. However, due to the high chances of rejection, we only process applications for tourists staying no longer than 15 days per admission.
  • Please be advised that we do not consider applications for women under the age of 40 traveling alone because of repeated refusals by the Singapore Immigration & Checkpoints Authority.

How to get a Singapore visa from the embassy?

If you do not have a visa exemption or are eligible for an electronic visa, you must go to the nearest Singapore embassy and apply there. Before you get there, what you can do is think about the specifications. The internet will help you with that, but we suggest that you use it as a guide, only the details you find online. It isn’t all reliable.

That is why the embassy or the diplomatic mission itself should be called, and your inquiries made there. Reliable details will be sent to you. You should go and fill up your application once you have collected what you are told you need. To ensure that everything is correct, you will have to pay a fee and go through your file. Then you apply it and wait until your visa is ready.
