Carrying baggage exceeding the prescribed limit by airlines might end up in either of the two ways. We might be paying excessive fees, or we need to remove or drop our excess luggage. If we are about to travel by WestJet Airlines, it is far better to know the WestJet baggage fees and policies well in advance, to avoid unnecessary confusion at the airport and make our journey hassle-free. Let us have a look at their baggage policy.
Baggage Policy of WestJet Airlines:
WestJet’s baggage policy for regular basic fares which includes:
Carry-on Baggage, one carry-on item, one personal item we can carry these without any fee. Hold luggage or checked baggage – fee is applicable, which increases with the number of bags checked. We need to pay a fee for certain sports equipment. Also, we need to pay fees for oversized and overweight bags, and it depends on the bag’s weight and size category.
Carry-on Baggage Policy of WestJet Airlines:
WestJet Airlines allows one personal item (laptop bag, purse, and briefcase) and one carry-on bag per passenger at a cost-free. It needs to be fit in the overhead bin or under the seat in front of the traveler.

Diaper bag, umbrella, jacket, duty-free items, assistive items such as walkers, strollers, child restraint seats, wheelchairs, crutches, etc. will not be counted in our carry-on allowance.
Please note: Bulkhead seats don’t have under-seat storage. We need to place all our carry-on baggage in an overhead bin at the time of take-off and landing.
