Covid-19 Travel Restrictions in the Maldives

On arrival in the Maldives, travelers must present a negative PCR test for COVID-19 taken within 72 hours prior to departure.
As of 10 September, all visitors and short-term travelers are expected to submit, within 72 hours prior to departure, a negative PCR test for COVID-19 taken upon arrival in the Maldives.
The Maldives is starting to relax restrictions on travel. The arrival visa service has now restarted. Anyone entering the Maldives for a reason other than tourism shall, upon entry, be subject to a 14-day quarantine and must register at the portal of Haalubelun. Upon arrival, a completed’ Health Declaration Card’ and an’ Immigration Arrival Card’ must be displayed. Travelers will be medically screened. For the full stay in a registered tourist facility, travelers entering the Maldives as tourists must have a hotel reservation confirmation and will undergo a medical screening. On or before arrival in the region, all visitors to the Maldives are encouraged to install the contact tracing application ‘Trace Ekee.’
