All international flights, excluding cargo flights and emergency flights, have been suspended by Burundi. Travelers entering Burundi will be forced to remain in quarantine at the Government of Burundi facility for 14 days. Travelers eligible for admission are subject to the following conditions of quarantine: Those arriving in Burundi with evidence of a negative COVID-19 examination in the past 72 hours shall register with the Ministry of Public Health and the clinician of the United Nations, after which they shall be conceded to return to their place of residence without entering the mandatory quarantine.
Those arriving without evidence from the last 72 hours of a negative COVID-19 test will be checked on arrival and will be forced to remain in government quarantine or self-isolation while waiting for the outcome. They could end the quarantine after obtaining a negative outcome. Those that do not want to be checked are expected to remain for 14 days in quarantine.
