A negative COVID-19 PCR (nasal swab) test given within 5 days before departure for Burkina Faso must be submitted to travelers upon arrival. At present, tests other than PCR tests are not approved. Commercial flights have resumed to Burkina Faso.
A negative COVID-19 PCR (nasal swab) test given within 5 days before departure for Burkina Faso must be submitted to travelers upon arrival. At present, tests other than PCR tests are not approved. If a passenger does not come with a COVID-19 negative test, a COVID-19 rapid test will be carried out at the airport at the cost of CFA 90,000 (approximately USD 155), and the passenger will be held before the results are available.
All arriving travelers are subject to a quarantine of 14 days at their own choice of location and at their own expense. The Burkina Faso authorities will carry out regular checks, including temperature tests. On the 1st, 8th, and 14th days after arrival, COVID-19 tests will be carried out.
