Travelers must be subject to compulsory COVID-19 monitoring and on-arrival quarantine. Benin has closed its land borders, and all commercial flights have been suspended. Upon arrival, all travelers entering Benin must self-quarantine for 14 days. Upon arrival, travelers must undergo mandatory COVID-19 testing and a second test 14 days after the unfavorable test result of the first test.
Both assessments are at the traveler’s expense; for two tests, fees are 100,000 FCFA included. Travelers will be forced to leave their passports for 72 hours with the Immigration Police before the first reports have been collected. Those that check positive for COVID-19 will be subject to isolation interventions mandated by the government and will receive free of charge treatment.
