Covid-19 Travel Restrictions in Belize

As of October 1, Philip Goldson International Airport is now operational. Travelers must download the Belize Health App, complete the information needed, and within 72 hours of travel, take a COVID-19 PCR examination.

Travelers must, within 72 hours prior to boarding a flight to Belize, download the Belize Health App and fill in the necessary details. This will generate a special QR code while in Belize for touch tracing.

Travelers must have a reserved stay at a Belize hotel that has earned the Tourism Gold Standard Recognition Certificate.

A COVID-19 PCR test must be taken by travelers within 72 hours of flight. For much faster arrival processing, those presenting a negative PCR test upon arrival will be able to use the ‘fast track’ entry lane.

Travelers who do not have a negative result will be allowed to undergo tests at their own cost by the Ministry of Health upon arrival. Until the Ministry of Health gives approval, those who test positive will be quarantined at their Gold Standard hotel.

At all times, all travelers to Belize must wear a face mask.
