As of September 15, the Dominican Republic will no longer need travelers to show a negative COVID-19 test result.
The Air Borders of the Dominican Republic has reopened.
Travelers no longer need to have a negative PCR or COVID-19 test upon arrival as of September 15. Instead, airports will give between 3% and 10% of passengers and all those who have symptoms a rapid, aleatory breath test upon arrival. A temperature check would also need to be carried out by all passengers.
Passengers with symptoms or positive test results will be isolated and treated at approved locations.
Travelers will be asked to fill out a Traveler’s Health Affidavit and submit it. This form declares that passengers have not encountered any symptoms associated with COVID-19 in the last 72 hours and offers contact information for the next 30 days.
