Kenya is one of the great countries in Africa. Geographically it is strategically positioned, and it is a gateway to quite a number of landlocked countries in Africa. It has better infrastructure and democracy in Africa. Kenya took full advantage of the possibility’s technology provides. Kenya currently boasts the highest share of the population with access to financial services in Sub-Saharan Africa. Most of this is thanks to the popular mobile money transfer service M-Pesa. The Kenyan Department of Immigration Services launched an e-Visa program in September 2015, allowing visitors to apply for an electronic visa without having to visit a diplomatic mission  in Kenya. This e-Visa is a PDF-issued authorization document which allows visitors to travel to Kenya through a designated port of entry.

Malaysia and South Africa nationals are eligible for 30 days exemption of the Evisa Kenya. If you want to stay more than the specified period, you need a visa to travel.

The Evisa Kenya application may take two business days for processing. The applicant must apply once the travel plan is confirmed.

A Evisa Kenya is valid for a period of 90 days before your travel. A single entry will be allowed within the e-Visa validity period stamped on the passport.

The maximum number of days you can stay in Kenya is six months in each visit. If you submit yourself to immigration control at the port of entry, you will be provided with a stay duration of no more than 90 days, which can be extended to another 90 days at the immigration headquarters.

A passport should have at least six months’ validity at the time the application is made for the granting of the Business e-Visa. The Applicant passport must have at least one blank page for stamps at the immigration point.

For Evisa Kenya, the following documents are needed:

  1. Valid travel document(Passport) with a validity of not less than six months. And at least One Blank page in the holder’s passport.
  2. Color Photographs must be taken within the past six months, showing your current appearance.
  3. A Return Ticket
  4. Invitation Letters from Kenya company / Invitation letter for business visits
  5. Copies of registration of the company
