What documents do I need to renew my Indian passport UK?

  • Printed and Signed Passport application Form.
  • Declaration Form.
  • Annexure “E”.
  • Form of Police Verification. (For minors, this form is required for both parents along with one for minor applicants).
  • Appointment confirmation letter printout.
  • For recent Photograph (50mm X 50mm).
  • Indian Passport original.
  • Self-attested photocopies of passport – bio (photo) page and last (address) page.
  • Resident permit.
  • Declaration form of change of appearance (for children below 16 years).
  • Annexure “D” (for minor applicants – both parents consent letter)
  • Two A4 size self-addressed return envelopes (Royal Mail Special Delivery) for return of original documents and new and canceled passports.

Additional Document requirements:

Marriage Certificate and Spouse’s Passport: If the applicant’s spouse’s name is to be recognized in the reissued passport, attach the marriage certificate and the applicant’s spouse’s passport and self-certified copies with the original passport and marriage certificate.

Utility bill, recent bank statement, or property documents in the UK: If you want your UK address to be included in the new passport. For UK address to be included, your Residence in the UK must be Permanent (ILR). Otherwise, you can change to a new Indian address or leave it as it is.

Letter of Acknowledgment: If the applicant is unable to go directly to the center to submit the passport renewal application, a close family member can produce an acknowledgment letter and their original passport or photo ID and proof of relationship.
