Covid-19 Travel Restrictions in Vietnam

Vietnam has banned all foreign nationals from entering.

Vietnam has restricted all entry to tourists, except for nationals, ambassadors, and highly skilled employees, experts, business managers, and others who have been approved by the National Steering Committee on COVID-19 Prevention and Control. Before entering Vietnam, anyone traveling for official purposes will be subject to a medical examination at the border.

All commercial flights are suspended to and from Da Nang, starting from 28 July, and lasting for at least 15 days. All travelers are subject to a 2-week quarantine and must fill in a pre-arrival quarantine form. Any issuance of visas is suspended. There is no longer a visa exemption for residents of Italy, South Korea, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Norway, Spain, Sweden, and passengers holding a British passport.

The visa is no longer excluded for travelers with a visa exemption certificate issued by Vietnam living in China, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Iran, Italy, South Korea, Norway, Spain, Sweden, or the UK. Citizens of Belarus, Japan, and Russia with a standard passport or visa exemption certificate are no longer excluded from a visa.
