Many non-resident foreign nationals traveling from countries other than the EU Member States, the Schengen countries, and the United Kingdom have been barred from entering the Faroe Islands.
The Faroe Islands have prohibited the entry into the Faroe Islands to non-resident foreign nationals who are commuting from countries other than the Member States of the European Union, the Schengen States, and the United Kingdom, unless they have a recognized reason for traveling, such as working in the Faroe Islands for an employer, visiting a sick relative or transporting goods. On arrival, all travelers over 12 will be screened and must self-quarantine while awaiting the results of testing. The test is free of charge until 14 August, after which travelers will be liable to cover the cost of DKK 390.
