1.      Visit the nearest BLS international center with the mandatory documents

For Indian passport renewal, you must go to the nearest BLS Service agency Center. The BLS centers for significant branches over the United Arab Emirates, and required documents are listed below in the article.

2.     Process for Indian passport renewal in Dubai at BLS Centers

Applicants visiting for an Indian passport renewal are not needed to make an appointment at BLS Centers.

They can go to the BLS Center and pick up a token number for their application. Applicants can take photocopies of documents and photographs and type the passport renewal application form at the BLS Center.

Upon their turn, applicants can submit supporting documents to the submission authority at the BLS international center and pay the required fee for the renewal of the Indian passport. Applicants renewing their Indian passports must sign the application form of renewal in the presence of the submission officer.

Important tips: The BLS international center at the Khaleej center in Dubai currently does not accept applicants under 12 years and over 60 years due to COVID restrictions. These applicants must visit the BLS international center at the Gina Building in Deira.

The BLS international center in Abu Dhabi currently only accepts limited passport renewal applications. These include applicants whose passport has already expired or will soon expire.

3.     Premium service for Indian passport renewal

You don’t have to wait in a long Queue. Applicants can choose the BLS international center’s premium lounge service. It is available in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

With this premium service, applicants can arrange an appointment online via the BLS Center site. In addition, premium applicants can quickly submit their renewal applications and enjoy pre-screening their supporting documents in the dedicated lounge.

Applicants applying for Indian passport renewal in Dubai and other parts of the UAE may opt for this premium service at an AED 236 surcharge per applicant. Yet, this does not refer that the processing time of renewal passport will be faster.

4.     Receive your renewed passport by courier

Applicants (both adults and minors) must wait at least five working days to obtain a renewed passport. Yet, if the applicants have opted for the Tatkal (Emergency) Service, the Indian passport renewal in Dubai or Abu Dhabi, the processing time is two working days.
