  • You will not need to make an appointment if you renew your passport in the Philippines since we will be given priority.
  • The Consulate will post an announcement on their website when passports are available, so check back in 4 weeks or so. There is no need to call the Consulate to double-check if your name is on the list of released passports.
  • Keep the claim receipt so that you may quickly pick up your passport when you return to the Consulate.
  • Even if you are on a tourist visa, you can still renew your passport at the Consulate.
  • If your resident visa is based in Abu Dhabi, you can renew your passport at either PCG Dubai or the Philippine Embassy in Abu Dhabi, depending on which is more convenient for you.

Public Advisory: Reminders by PCG Dubai Passport Renewal:

  1. Please note that, with the exception of home service employees, seafarers, senior persons, children under the age of 12, and emergency circumstances, passport processing applications at the Consulate General are strictly by appointment only. To learn more about passport application requirements, go to http://www.dubaipcg.dfa.gov.ph and click on the link. To confirm the applicant’s appointment, an email will be issued to him. This is a complimentary service.
  2. The Consulate General urges applicants to schedule their appointment at least ten months before their passports expire to allow enough time for new passports to arrive. Please keep in mind that in order to process visa applications, UAE authorities require passports to be valid for at least six months. Furthermore, as authorized by the International Civil Aviation Organization, many foreign governments only recognize the validity date reflected in the passport data page and recorded in the ePassports chip (ICAO).
  3. For passport processing and data collection, applicants must arrive in person on their designated date and time.
  4. If the applicant is unable to attend his or her booked appointment, he or she must either cancel the appointment online or notify the Consulate General by email at epassportcoord@pcgdubai.ae five (5) working days before the scheduled appointment. The Consulate General would then be able to cancel the appointment and make room for others.
  5. Beginning June 1, 2017, candidates must reapply for an appointment online. The new approach intends to free up space in the Consulate General’s online appointment system to accommodate more passport applicants.
